Fire reminds you to stay sucker-free for life * NOW HALF OFF

Love Letters 1
Took the El out to 69th Street to see the Steve Power’s Mural Arts Project Love Letters. Started the tour at sunrise around 7:10am. Lots of reflections and blue blue walls. Realized that you don’t have to follow Septa’s demands to vacate the train once you reach 69th street. Most subway cars had addition of a homeless person who used the seats as a sleeping area in this freezing cold weather. When I dutifully departed at 69th street I noticed they all stayed on and joined me on the eastbound platform moments later. Hence, I could have ridden for one token not two.

Love Letters 2

Despite the poor quality this image ended up being my favorite this morning. There is the “Unleash Florida” reflection in the top corner from the other side of the train and the double 52nd reference. You’ll never see the same thing twice.

The project was promoted heavily throughout the trains.

Hidden message on the promo. No message on any of the alternate train promos.

Its fun attempting to capture anything as the train speeds past. Often times you’re jumping north-south-north-south just to see everything on both sides of the tracks. You don’t have to worry about capturing the perfect shot since Adam Wallacavage & Tony Smyrski already did that for you.

Back to the beginning again. Same mural as the first one with more morning.
